Easter Monday

OK...my mother is complaining about the fact that I have not made a new post in a while. I just got tired of writing about how my whole family has seemed to stay sick this whole winter, but the twist now is: the twins are better and K, B and I are sick!

So anyway we spent this whole 3 day weekend at home, starting on Thursday afternoon with K's visit to the doctors office. We did sneek out to the cemetary on Saturday afternoon, the twins wanted to go and wash the gravestone of Pappa Wilson, which has become a tradition of ours. We go to Salem, work on the church plot there and then go pick up Lamby and go to Pappa's grave. We are training them to be good little moravians! You should see them scrub those head stones!

I did get to lisiten to the Sunrise Service on WSJS. That was nice, I would like to be able to hear it again now that I am awake!

Also got an email from my friend Fabulous Julie Satruday saying that they (her husband is the church band director and B's band teacher at school) would exspect B to play rounds with them next year and the sunrise service. I told her that he would have to spend the night with her, seeing as the band meets at the church at 1:30 A.M. to start their rounds at 2:15. If you have no clue what rounds are just click here. Skip down to the fourth paragraph.

Easter Sunday is one of the few times of the year that I would like to live in the city, to be awaken just one time by a band playing. The other day of the year is Christmas Eve so we could walk to Lovefeast. Then stroll back home looking at all the Christmas lights.

Also it seems like it has become more and more of a tradition since the twins were born to spend Easter Sunday at home. Seeing as their first Easter, (they were six months old) B had chicken pox. Then he gave it to J and J gave it to G. We went from Easter to Mothers Day that year with out leaving the house. There have been several others that various people have been sick so that we opted to stay at home.

This year my menu was:

spiral ham

mashed potatos and gravy

carrots

baked apples

tea and sparkling grape juice (that is what the stem ware is for in the photo, by request of J, cause how else are you going to get that really neat looking GREEN glass bottle?)

and

Marshan Pudding (a childhood favorite of mine)

Join me next time when I will reveil what Marshan Pudding really is! Unless I get a life and find something more exciting to do!
