My Projects from Last Week

I have been feeling very crafty for the past few weeks, and here are some of my projects.
I made cozys for the twins nanos and then the big B wanted one for his Zune.
I made some cards that I had seen somewhere on the web, and two felt ornaments that I had see several years ago and just never got around to doing them.
I also have been on a reduce and reuse kick. I have started reusing paper bags from the grocery store. One day last week I went, carried along my bags. When I got home with my groceries one of my bags tore. Well I needed some of those moss pots to plant my tomato seeds in, but really didn't want to spend the money so I decided to make use of my ripped grocery bag. Now I have sweet 100 tomato seeds warming in my bay window. The boys are really excited. I am sure when they go missing this summer I will find them under the tomato plants eating straight from the vine!
Happy Monday Everyone! Cindy

Did a little scraping last weekend.

I hope to do a little more this week end.
The twins did these little shield things at school last year in third grade. I used their school photos for the page. I try to do a page every once in a while like this with something they do at school. It is so rare these days that they are allowed to do anything like this.

J's says: "I J, pledge to make a difference in the world by helping others when they are in need. I also want to take care of the earth.
G's says " I, G pledge to make a difference in the world by choosing kind words. I also want to treat people with respect."

The snow page is from a card I saw in "Paper Crafts". It was stamped, I did this one with
water color pencils and ink. Now if I can just figure out how to get those wrinkles out of the paper. It is really much prettier than the photo shows, if I do say so myself. I did a few other pages, just have not got a photo of them yet.

For Mom

How do you like this photo of the birthday boy?

Do you think this would inspire you to scrap?

What is on your desktop?

There was a question this morning on 2Peas, asking what is on your desktop. Mine is a picture of the boys at sunset when we arrived at the beach in November. Very peaceful.
What is on yours?

A Little Scrapping for NEW Years Eve.

Happy New Year!

What could be better than to end the
blogging year with a scrapbook page?
This is one I did a few days ago. There was a bit too much testosterone in my house so I needed to work on some pink girly stuff. Pink and Barbie on the same page! This was my niece's 3rd Birthday. I made her a Barbie doll cake.
Used a sketch from SBEtc and my cupcake QK. Sorry about the bad photo of the page. I was just so happy to get the photos arranged in a different way. The two bottom photos actually started out as one.

My 2 Pages from this Summer...yes only two pages!

Wow, I was SO productive this summer! Can you believe only two pages?

I will say the camping page was so much fun to do. It does have sticker sneeze, but the stickers are so cute! My mom and I were shopping one day and found them at AC Moore, I purchased several sets and so far this is the only set I have used. They are embossed, they look all puffy on the page even though you can not tell it from the photo. I also enjoyed the journaling on this page it was way less stressful to just add the little ditty's, here and there, I guess a less formal type of writing than I usually do. [no smart remarks about my writing skills!]

B's Confirmaion Page

It took several weeks but I finally got it done!
He walked by one day and stopped to look at it and fussed at me for putting the certificate on the page...he asked "What if I need that?" I told him that I had not glued it down it was just tucked under the photo and the ribbon photo corner. He was OK with that. The small photo inset is Uncle George. He was B's mentor during the confirmation class. It is only right, George was his Sunday School teacher for a majority of the last 13 years! It worked well also because George is used dealing with Lamb boys!
The journaling is just what was on my blog entry back in May.
I have a stamp with I Cor. 12:13, and forgot about it until this was done. So if you have any ideas as to where I might sneak it in on this page, let me know.

Life Happens...

Sorry I have not blogged in such a long time. I have been

sort of caught up in some stuff going on with the G man at school. It would seem that that he and his teacher are not getting alone to well. Look at that face, how could anyone not like it? So anyway, I am in the final steps to getting the issue solved, will probably ask that he be moved to another class room. It has been long and hard to gather the information that I have at this point. I would not have got this far if it had not been for the help of two very dear friends at church who are also teachers in the same school system.

In other news for my scrapbooking friends, I have scrapped a little I just need to find time to photograph the pages so I can post them. I am working on Ben's Confirmation Page right now. It is one of those that is very important to me, so I want it to be just right.

Happy Birthday to my guy!

Take care, see you soon.

WARNING: Tear Jerker (for me anyway)!

I have had this page done for a while, I have never shared it because it is very emotional for me, as I am constantly realizeing that my oldest child is getting so close to being out on his own. I can not believe that he is 13! So I have warned you, if you get emotional this might not be the page to look at (Judy-thinking and praying about your empty nest).

This is the prayer on the page:

Dear God,
Bless all children this day, O Father. Instruct them-Give them inquiring minds and discerning hearts. Strengthen Them-Give them courage to persevere in all they undertake. Delight them - Give them the gift of Joy and wonder in all things. Befriend them-Give them laughter and love to share with all. Guard them-Give them protections and safety ans they move out of our embrace. Love Them-And give them sure and certain Knowledge of your unfailing love. Amen

This is the journaling:
In the summer time you can hear bumps and thumps and yells and screams and giggles and laughter coming from this little house. But in the fall the little house quites down, the leaves turn yellow, like new pencils. The bikes are parked waiting to be ridden by the noise makers once again.
They are away from this little back yard house, away from me and my protection. But I know their Heavenly Father can go with them and give them the love and protection that I can not. This is my quite world in the autumn. But I know they will be back , for a few more summers, to make bumps and thumps in the little house in the back yard as the buses wait in the school yard, time marches on.

More Pages from Thursday

Another page t hat I did yesterday. Used some new Basic Gray Stickers on this frist page.

Got two times to go sell yearbooks today. Wish me luck, any books that I sale today is profit for the PTA.

Don't do many pages about myself but I just felt the need to do something about my experince with the yearbook.

Happy Friday!

National Scrapbooking Day Celebration

Here is a little quick page I did this morning. Today is National Scrapbooking Day and I just couldn't let it pass with out a little scraping. Thanks to Lisa for the cool embellies on this page, such a sweet birthday present that I finally got to use, since we finally had some snow around here this winter. I have a ton of things to do today. Going to Hickory for the niece's wedding shower, need to find the top of my dryer so K can fix it. Nothing like a broke dryer.

Happy Saturday (National Scrapbooking Day)!

My Projects from the Weekend

We had a quite weekend at home, K worked a little Saturday morning, B was sick Saturday. Went to church, came home. B has a friend spending the night with him. So I got in a little time to scrap. The black page is about G's first trip to church summer camp, my whole family has grown to love that place on top of a mountain. The scripture for that page is Psalm 26:8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house, And the place where Your glory dwells. The red and brown page is of course about when we went Christmas Caroling. It uses Psalm 5:11 But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You. Happy Monday!

Page a Day-I John 3:18

This page is J at his first church summer camp. Although my time was not so great, J and G had a wonderful time. the theme for the camp was sheep and the Good Sheperd. The day we were driving home they asked if they could go back next year. I told them I had to recover from the first time before was could make that decision. Well I guess I am recovered because just this week I have made the commitment to go back for a week in August.
The scripture on this page is I John 3:18~My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Page a Day-Ephesians 3:17-19

that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-- 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Thought I would share with you the scripture verse that is on this page. Each page in the challenge has a differnet scripture verse about love.

My first page with Cricut!

This past weekend I was lucky enough to "borrow" the use of a Cricut. You noticed I said my "first" page. Implies that there will be more. I can see a QK Silhouette or a Wishblade in my future!

This photo has always been one on Kenny's favorites of the twins. He even gave me the title for the page, long before I started scrapbooking.

A Page A Day Challenge

This is my entery for the first day of "A Page A Day". The group at FBP will doing a challenge for the month of Febuary, it is a page each day. I survived it last year, I don't know if I can tough it out this year or not, it seem to be a lot harder. Time will tell! I purchased this paper especally for this photo. Just a little boy page! Then when the challenge came I realized that the page would be perfect for the first day. This page talkes about G's cut eye when they were 11 months old. Bongies and hermit crabs called DD's.
This is the scripture that this page uses-Matthew 19:19 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' "

Little Larry's Page

This page is about my cousin. He died at the age of 22. He was almost one year older than I. We were the two oldest grand children. We were very close to each other before starting school. The small photo is his kindergarten photo. We lived in different counties but we were able to go to kindergarten together.

I have been wanting to do this page for about 4 years now. I finally gathered up all of the materials. I first started looking for photos. Got those copied and printed. Then mom got the photo of the tractor. Then yesterday I sat down started putting it all together and realized that I did not have 6 black buttons! I probably have close to 500 buttons but no small matching black ones! I am still happy with the 3 black and 3 white though. It is a complete scraplift from a magazine ad. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. There is journaling under the center photo.
