This is usually kept a big secret, but I am just so excited. The twins school celebrated Earth Day yesterday, and while I was there helping pop pop corn for 550 kids (do you know how long it takes to pop pop corn for that many kids?-oops sorry different story), I got to see the artwork for the cover of the yearbook. Each year we have a contest, every 5th grader is told the theme of the yearbook and asked to draw a picture. This year I choose "Wildcat Tales". Their school mascot is a wildcat and the school theme this year is SFA which is their reading curriculum.
Can you image what I thought when I saw it was pink and purple?
I am a little afraid that this will be the last year we get to have this because the daughter of the people who own the printing company is a 5th grader. Each year they donate all the labor, our only cost is the paper and ink.
