Pilot Mt in January

Just thought I would share with you a photo I made Saturday from Pilot Mt. The road in the photo is Hwy 52. We could see W-S in the view but it didn't show up in the photos.

The boys had a wonderful time climbing on the rocks. We just needed to get out of the house for a while. I must say it did wonders for my mood.

This one was made from the Blue Ridge Parkway, I think it was the Granite Overlook, because it over looked Mt. Airy's granite quary.

I have always loved this mountain. I can't imagine anyone living in this area, not being proud of this magestic land mark. I do not know why but, but I enjoy it now more than I did as a kid, when I called it the "cake mountain".
